Thorough and effective surface treatment

East Metal can supply components with whatever surface treatment is best suited to the application, whether this involves shot blasting, metalising, galvanising and/or painting. We choose the method or methods for each project which ensure the best possible result in relation to the customer's requirements and the specific job we are working on together. Most processes can be carried out at our own facilities in Latvia, while others are undertaken by our regular suppliers, either in Latvia or Western Europe.
 

Class C5 paint coatings

We work at a high level of quality in all sub-processes. Our paint department handles tasks up to corrosion category C5, which ensures very high protection against corrosion for the finished product.
 

Galvanising and metalising

Whatever the technology used, our processes and ongoing quality control ensure that we comply with the most stringent requirements in the industry, under DS/EN ISO 1461.
 

Shot blastng

The iron and steel industry has traditionally used sand blasting prior to metalising or galvanizing. At East Metal we use shot blasting instead. Shot blasting is a much better method, in that we use small metal balls instead of grains of sand for cleaning. This avoids the problem of small fragments of sand boring into the steel, and later destroying the metal from the inside.
