East Metal supplies extremely high-quality steel components to a number of demanding customers. By combining effective project management in our Danish head office with production in Latvia, we have removed the disadvantages many people associate with outsourcing to countries with low production costs.

East Metal is a professional supplier and outsourcing partner for a steadily increasing pool of demanding customers. Many of our customers have previously produced steel components for their products directly. Outsourcing production of components and sub components gives customers high capacity without fixed costs, tied-up capital and the other disadvantages associated with producing in-house in industries where it is often impossible to produce to inventory during periods with surplus capacity
 

Our history – in brief

East Metal was founded in 1997 as a production enterprise in Latvia – Sia East Metal. The idea was the same then as it is today – to supply metal components. There were major challenges during the early years – in part due to the poor condition of equipment and buildings, and the difficulty in finding enough well-trained personnel. In 1999 the owners founded East Metal Trade ApS, which became the parent company and sales company for Sia East Metal in Latvia. This arrangement proved to be ideal for fulfilling our mission of providing ”Outsourcing without the compromises”, and becoming our customers preferred outsourcing partner.

Today we are very happy with our buildings, equipment and personnel. East Metal trains its own staff, and provides working conditions which are significantly better than the normal Latvian standard. And our employees reward these good conditions by their commitment and great loyalty.

The company structure, with sales and project management in Denmark and production in Latvia, has proven to be ideal for fulfilling our mission. East Metal provides "Outsourcing without the compromises" and is in a strong position to serve as our customers' preferred outsourcing partner.
 

Wind turbine components

East Metal works closely with several of the major wind turbine manufacturers, to produce and supply steel components which they have previously produced directly. Outsourcing production to East Metal has helped these manufacturers achieve lower fixed costs and greater production flexibility.
 

Specially-designed components

for the transport industry

The transport industry represents another major customer group, in situations where one or more vehicles or ships require adaptation to meet special load or lifting requirements. Specially developed equipment is required – often developed for specific tasks. East Metal has the capacity to be involved in the development of such equipment, and to supply finished equipment quickly.
